Life Insurance and Mental Health Records

I am applying for a life insurance policy I really need and I'm afraid of the impacts my psychiatric records may have, both on underwriting this policy now and future potential to get any more insurance in the next decade (through age 55) due to whatever MIB records will be stored from now on.

Details:

Applying for a 1.5M 20 year term policy through a carrier associated with my financial planner, and they are requesting records from providers I saw in the last 5 years, including my prior psychiatric NP who prescribed different ADHD meds, and antidepressants for anxiety. Over my years seeing her I tried different drugs and doses to try and dial in on the most effective combo. I stopped seeing her and do my meds through my PCP now.

I'm worried that while I know for certain I was only there to treat ADHD and anxiety, I haven't seen these records myself and I'm scared they could somehow represent me more severely or even inaccurately.

Would I be better off just trying to go back to carrier I have a policy with since they never requested these records? They wouldn't allow me to take out the 1M+ I sought since I was between jobs, but I'm on the cusp of a job offer which would make me easily insurable for 20y at 2M or more.

Especially since the job won't have group term life as a benefit, I still need private a private life policy but I don't want to ruin my own record and get stuck with a horribly expensive policy. The existing one I have at 350K is still only standard class, and that's without all the psych notes attached.
