Letter from Prudential says they can’t offer me a policy right now. What are my options?

Here is my original post regarding this issue

Long story, but here’s a little background info. I called a NY Life agent about a life insurance policy and the agent gave me quotes from a few different insurance companies. Prudential was one of the companies and I was pleased with the rate so I told him I wanted to apply.

Over the next few days, I’d try to call and ask him questions about the policy and application, but he would never pick up the phone or call me back.

Today, I get a letter from Prudential that says:

“I’m sorry to inform you that we will not be able to complete your writing representative’s appointment with our company. State insurance regulations require completion of this appointment. We are currently working to resolve this matter. “

What are my options? I’ve already done the medical exam and I’m healthy. Should I just give up on prudential and go with another company? Can I just call another Prudential agent and get a policy set up with them? I’m also on Truvada, which some insurers will deny coverage for, so my options are limited. I applied almost a month ago and still don’t have a policy.
