Just got prescribed Suboxone. Did I screw myself?

I think this is an appropriate question for this sub but if not, I’m sure I’ll get flagged.

Long story short, I obtained a personal policy (20 year term) before having kids. Fast forward 4 years and I’m looking to beef my policy up 2-3x, which will require a new medical screening per my agent.

Unfortunately, I’ve developed a rather persistent opiate dependency/addiction where I’ve been unable to obtain consistent abstinence. Things have recently come to a head again and my doctor has highly recommended I begin Suboxone treatment as a way to a): get off “uncontrolled opiates” and b): act as a replacement therapy to combat recurring relapse. He’s suggested this for a while but I’ve always been very hesitant to begin MAT. Anyway, after two back to back relapses and strain on my family, I’m willing and ready to try something different, because what I’m doing isn’t working.

Did I just screw myself (permanently) by getting Suboxone prescribed in my name? Even if I get off the Suboxone and my drug screen comes back clean, will LI companies have access to my medical data, specifically that data which is flagged in the national pharmaceutical record such as having been on Suboxone?

I’m not going to apply for increased coverage until I can pass a UA at the very least but I’m trying to understand what all the LI agencies do during their underwriting process.
