Jeffrey Levine, Ed Slott Team Up for Retirement Debate Podcast
What You Need to Know
Slott and Levine will provide lively commentary as they argue an opposing side of a retirement planning topic or strategy.
A flip of the coin will determine who takes what side on each debate.
Levine and Slott say the real winner of the debate each week will be the listener.
This week, two respected retirement industry veterans announced plans to launch a podcast meant to foster debate and discussion about important retirement planning topics.
Launching next week, “The Great Retirement Debate” podcast will feature Ed Slott, a nationally recognized individual retirement account expert and founder of Ed Slott and Co., and Jeffrey Levine, the chief planning officer of Buckingham Strategic Wealth.
Levine was chief retirement strategist at Ed Slott and Co. from 2009 to 2017.
According to a press release announcing the forthcoming program, each week, Slott and Levine will provide lively commentary as they argue an opposing side of a retirement planning topic or strategy. Episodes are scheduled to drop every Thursday, beginning Nov. 10, and will be available on all major platforms, including Spotify, Apple, Stitcher and Amazon.
Taking to Twitter to explain the motivation behind The Great Retirement Debate, Levine says this “isn’t going to be another one of those personal finance advice-type podcasts.”
“Our goal by the end of each episode is to have one clear winner — the listener,” Levine says. “With a broader perspective on what to consider and why it is important, more informed financial decisions can be made, and ultimately better decisions lead to better outcomes.”
