Idiopathic Optic Neuritis | Life insurance question:-

I (M30) was diagnosed with idiopathic optic neuritis about 2 years ago in my left eye. An MRI was done (Eyes only) to confirm this. Multiple tests were done after to try to find the cause and eventually life got in the way and I couldn’t make my appointments anymore, so never found a cause.

I know optic neuritis usually implies MS, but I was never officially diagnosed with MS. I never got a second MRI done. Planning to follow up with more tests in the next few weeks.

However, I would like to get life insurance before then. I have no intention of lying and I understand that they will have access to all medical records anyway. Given I was never diagnosed and haven’t had any more vision problems (other than my left eye), what would the insurance process look like?

Would they follow up on the initial Optic neuritis to try to diagnose?

Is Optic neuritis alone a reason to spike premiums?

Based in Canada if that matters. Thanks
