i have some questions/concerns ?

for context: i am 22 and my mother is close to her 50’s.

awhile ago my mother took out a life insurance policy on me. i pay for it every month and it’s super affordable. with that being said, my mom was in the process of getting life insurance for herself and they ended up denying her due to unknown health conditions that she has yet still to find out. i hate to say this but at times my mom can be very irresponsible and careless. there have been times where i’ve had to “come to the rescue” because she wasn’t doing her part and only would tell me things once things fell apart. she has voiced to me that she has “maxed out” as far as taking money from her 401K. one minute is was “i reached the max as far as how much money i can take out” and now it’s “i’ve completely maxed out”. anytime i try to talk to her about figuring out what to do for her life insurance it turns into a argument about how she doesn’t want to and if anything happens, i’ll figure it out. it’s actually very frustrating talking to her about anything that’s serious .. i am a only child. we are not close to any family and not a day goes by where i think about what i would do if something would happen. it’s almost like she thinks that i’m trying to benefit off of her and that is far from the case. i guess what i’m trying to ask is what do you guys think ? am i wrong and what would you do in my situation ?
