My budy started representing National Life Group and was persistent in introducing my to his 'trainer'. They had explained their life insurance policy to me and how it was the equivalent to a savings account. I had a bad feeling, but I trusted my friend and got the policy. Come to find out, it's a pyramid scheme, and they're facing a bunch of lawsuits. I want out but they're saying that I won't get any of the money I had given since they would take it as a surrender fee. My policy started on 08/2022 and have given them $3,000. I know it's not much, but I live paycheck to paycheck and I genuinely believed I was saving money that would go toward my future since my work doesn't give me any benefits/retirement. To make matters worse, I just found out I'm getting layed off.

Has anyone had experience dealing with them? Or does anyone know life insurance policies and what I can do in this situation? (Any lawyer advice!)

If more details are needed if be more than happy to provide them.

Please help me, I would really appreciate it.
