Guaranteed Life insurance and life insurance for a child
I have the diagnosis of Wolff Parkinson White which is a heart arrhythmia. I also recently found out I have a small chance of having something called Lynch syndrome which is cancer causing. I’m waiting on some referrals for genetic testing for the Lynch and also to see if my WPW is caused by a specific gene.
I have a $25,000 life insurance through work but only as long as I work there (for the county). I plan to always work for the county but 30 years is a long time (I’m 26, started working there at 22). I’m looking to get a life insurance policy that will accept my pre-existing conditions. I really only need enough to cover funeral expenses or a chunk of it. I would like more, but it doesn’t sound like that’s really in the running for me. To my understanding, guaranteed acceptance Life insurance is what I’m looking for
I have a 1 year old son I would also like to get life insurance for. WPW can be genetic even if this genetic test comes up negative (there is currently only 1 identified gene but presumably there are more than we just don’t know yet), and Lynch Syndrome is also a dominant genetic trait. I need to get him insurance before I delve more into these tests. I worry that he may develop these conditions or other conditions that would make him uninsurable as I did. I want to get him something now that he will carry through adulthood
As I said, I’m 26 and being 26 I barely understand how insurance works.
Can someone please make some recommendations for companies that might have what I’m looking for? And explain it in layman’s terms 😬
Thank you!
