Ex-Thrivent Exec Launches an RIA Roundtable

Advisor industry veteran Carolyn Armitage has launched a member-based organization that brings together RIAs, hybrids and investment advisor representatives to share ideas and best practices.

Dubbed the RIA Circle, the venture aims to establish a “secure and confidential environment” to facilitate advisor growth, according to the announcement. Groups are forming now for an October start to the roundtable meetings.

“Growth takes insight and experience, and RIA Circle was formed as a vehicle to allow growth-minded advisors and executives to have access to shared ideas to better run their firms and serve clients,” Armitage said. “RIA Circle will foster these ideas to have a real impact on wealth management leaders and their firms.”

Armitage most recently led the Thrivent Advisor Network before being let go from the organization in mid-2023 during a broader restructuring. She had joined the organization two years earlier, moving to Thrivent after a four-year stint at Echelon Partners, where she focused on helping CEOs make strategic planning decisions and build high-performance teams.

Before that, Armitage led LPL Financial’s large enterprise business management consulting team.
