Denied life insurance due to diagnosis’s I was unaware of

Okay this is a weird situation and I don’t know what to do about this. I am young (26) so I’m really figuring it out as I go.

I applied for term life insurance (10 years 250k) with Transamerica and told them that I always had great physical health but was treated for depression when I was younger. The person I spoke to on the phone told me I would get approved easily so I was shocked when I got the decision back and was denied because of “history of severe recurrent major depression, OCD with excoriation disorder, anxiety, and Tic disorder.” Most of these are news to me though. I was never told by a doctor that these were diagnosed and never treated for anything more than depression. The only idea I have as to why these were recorded is a psychiatrist I went to briefly in 2020, who I dropped due to them being very bad with their patient care. I had told them I had anxiety, skin picking, and ticking as symptoms but they only gave me treatment for depression and never told me that they marked my symptoms down as disorders instead. Also, I absolutely do not have OCD, that one was a huge surprise.

Now I don’t know what to do. I can’t tell if I was rejected because of the diagnosis’s, or because they were not disclosed. I didn’t know they were diagnosed, should I let them know this or contest the decision? I also have another application for USAA that I made before this rejection, I don’t know if they will reject me as well once they receive my medical records. Do I give up and find a broker? I’m at a loss on what to do next.
