Coverage for uninsurable spouse?

Hi Lifers, I’m looking for options though not necessarily a sale. Here’s the deal. My spouse is soon to be 32 F next month but is basically uninsurable. They are obese and have a high BMI and weigh over 300ibs and are not currently working (they do projects and stuff but anyway). They aren’t terminal or have any conditions and have had good medical reports within the last few years… other than the obesity but it’s essentially disqualifying. Her parents are boomers and still living, one is a diabetic but she is not.

Me: bday soon 35 M and over a year into a thirty fixed term at $250k. We have this policy through Principal from an office across the state line in Idaho. Monthly rate at about $24 plus a $75 annual fee. Income is relatively low at 43k though in a low COL area of WA in the US. Mortgage is 95k . Employer coverage doesn’t count I know but I have free $84k through them plus an addtl 40K supplemental plan through work. We have a kindergarten kid. Edit my current plan did not request an exam though the first plan required one. My I’m realatively healthy with no issues but I am overweight.

My question (sorry for the rambling) is are there any no exam policies or is the cost not worth it? We have a $25K spousal coverage that I pay maybe $1 for from work but wondering if that is my only option. Work policy is through Symetra. I don’t anticipate losing or leaving my job any time soon but wondering if portability would be a better option.

Sorry for the questions. I’m very familiar with health insurance but not so much on the life insurance side though it is interesting.
