Can a PI find out if someone has a policy out on an individual?

My (33F) husband (32M) and I enlisted a PI to help us find info on our future SIL!(34F). My husband’s brother (36M) is getting married in January and there were red flags pretty early. Controlling behavior, potentially emotionally/financially abusive. I wanted to see if there was a previous partner out there who could have filed a restraining order or something on her, but instead I found out her last fiancé died 2 months before she started dating BIL. They were still very much together at his passing (evidence with social media/estate court records). She never mentioned her last relationship was serious or that he passed away to any of us. So I went to see if maybe she made the dating profile she met BIL on before her fiancé passed or not. The account was still up and active. No evidence of when the account was created, but there were recent pictures from MY WEDDING with us cropped out on there. After this woman and BIL were engaged. So I made an account and liked one of her pictures. She messaged me three minutes later. So she’s active and “looking for a long term partner” when she is supposed to be getting married to BIL in a few months. They just bought a house together. The dating site is Uber religious, so she’s not looking to just cheat. We are extremely concerned about what happened to the last guy and if she has policies out on my BIL. Is there any way to check this? FIL can look into BIL’s financials/see if he’s aware of policies out on BIL. But the last guy’s passing is mysterious. He was in his early 40s, no obit, no mention anywhere online of illness or other circumstances. His business (that she allegedly manages) was not doing well (a ton of liens over the past decade). BIL has $ personally and from FIL she could be after, but I’m wondering if she got life insurance from the last guy.
