Best options for late 30s high risk of cancer?

I currently have about $200,000 in employer and supplemental life insurance. I want to increase it to ~$1.3m to cover my salary until all of my children turn 18 at least.

The issue is my mother was diagnosed with DCIS two years ago, which is sort of like a pre-breast cancer. There’s a chance it doesn’t develop into breast cancer, but it most likely would have. She opted to have a voluntary double mastectomy and never underwent any other treatment.

My father, with his pasty British Isles skin and lifelong affinity for the sun, was diagnosed with melanoma a year ago. He underwent a year of immunotherapy and at least one surgery, but is currently in remission.

My sister has RA and signed up to have her samples available for clinical testing. She recently received a call saying she may have a mutation that makes her more susceptible to breast, ovarian, pancreatic, and melanoma cancer. They want to do another test to confirm.

My paternal grandfather passed away of pancreatic cancer and was in remission for 20 years from colon cancer. My maternal aunt passed away from colon cancer, and my father and brother have both had polyps removed during colonoscopies which turned out to be abnormal.

I have asked my sister not to have additional testing done until I can get my insurance policy in order. I am a few months overdue for my annual exam and experiencing all kinds of random and new pains, which are hard to say are related to an illness or just my burgeoning neurosis that I am full of cancer.

What are my best options for life insurance that won’t get denied and that will cover me in the event that I do get diagnosed with cancer in the next year or two and die young from it? Would I want whole life insurance? Should I keep myself in the dark about my sister’s additional testing or is that considered fraud? Just really unsure of how to proceed and make sure my family is taken care of. Premium cost is a consideration but not the most important piece of the puzzle.

Thanks in advance
