Average life insurance payout

My grandma passed away last year and my mom had been taking care of her for 3 years and was her POA. My grandma had incredibly severe dementia and was not of sound mind to make any decisions in her last 4 years. My grandma was paying on a life insurance policy for me but once my mom got POA, she changed the beneficiary from my name to hers. She made up a half ass story and told me that Gammy must have made a mistake when signing up for the policy bc she had been paying on a life insurance policy ON me, like she would get a payout it if I, her young adult granddaughter, died. My grandma did not ever even own a computer so I’m pretty sure she signed up for this policy in person with an agent who would not have let her take out a life insurance policy on her granddaughter when she was obviously trying to make one FOR me. My mom insists that she cancelled it and that it was only for $5,000. But I don’t even think policy’s come in amounts that small???? My mom is notorious for being sneaky and lying, especially when it comes to money so this stunt is totally in her wheelhouse. But I guess what I really want to know is how much the policy was actually for but I have no idea how to figure that. I think she was probably paying on it for at least 10 years, probably more like 15-20. She wasn’t rich but she was always very smart with her finances. I know this isn’t a lot of information to draw a conclusion but if anyone could just give me a ballpark range of what the most common payout amounts are, that would be so amazing because I don’t know if the average is 30k or 130k so any context would help!!! I don’t think there’s going to be anything I can do about it but I would just like to know how many thousands of dollars my mom stole from me 😂😂 Thank you so much!!!!
