Anyone have some tips for Term-Life Insurance shopping (Any agents willing to offer advice?)

46M and wife 34F (12 years difference).

I currently have a term life 500k policy due to expire in 3 years. Since the time I made that policy, my life has changed quite a bit. I've remarried and had 2 more kids who are ages 6 and 2 and I also make more money. Because of this I know I need to get another policy for 750k or 1m but I was curious if anyone had any advice on if I should get a 15 or 20 year given my age so as to not break the bank. We would need a sizable policy for my wife too because in the unlikely event she were to die before I would, I would have to quit my job in order to raise our children due to me having a career working offshore away from home.

My dad died of a massive heart attack at the age of 47 (one year older than I am now). I'm a non-smoker and am in good shape. Exercise often and resting heart rate is in the 40's Currently my wife is a stay at home mom with our kids, but that may change in the future.

Questions:

Will there be much difference in price between the 15 year and 20 year policy given my age and family history? Will there be much difference in price between a 750k and 1m policy? Any companies out there that offer the best rates for my situation? submitted by /u/Warchild24
