Does anyone have this life insurance company? My fiancé is an grocery store employee & has union benefits. I’m the one that takes care of all the paperwork. He got a paper in the mail about life insurance and since I’m the one who does the paper work, I filled it out. Since they received it they’ve been relentlessly calling, multiple times a day to go over it. I finally called back (I’m a procrastinator) and they wanted to set up a zoom appointment with my fiancé and I. At this point I’m still thinking it had to do with his union benefits from his grocery store employer. Today we did the zoom call. My fiancé asked how long it was gonna take , cause he’s very impatient with this kind of stuff. I said idk ask him when we start. Well the dummy didn’t and it took from 1230-3, he was very annoyed. So we start our appointment and he’s going over life insurance, accidental death, how we could still receive a check up to year if one of us passed, ect other benefits. I’m coming to realize it’s a different company, nothing to do with his already union. So we listen as the appointment is going on, then tells us we need to see if we qualify because it’s not guaranteed, lastly it’s going to cost almost $200 a month. I’m thinking ok I’m annoyed, I thought it was his union thing, I didn’t know how long it was gonna take and last I didn’t know it was going to cost money. This is something I didn’t even discuss with my fiancé beforehand, like these are our finances we share one account. At the end I end up going forward with it all. Now I’m thinking I just wanna cancel it all. But I don’t want my fiancé to get annoyed I made him sit with me for hours about it only to cancel. I’d rather use that $200 a month to pay off debt and maybe enroll in a few years when we are older. It’s not like this stuff is gonna go away. My question is what has been your experience with this company? Are the benefits worth it? It will also take some money off our co pays. I guess I feel duped, like I didn’t have time to research this company, read reviews or anything because I really thought it was part of his union benefits. I’m wondering if I should not even tell him I canceled it , he wouldn’t even know to be honest. Then tell him in a few years we’re renewing it? What do you guys think? Like I said he already has a job with union & benefits, he has a second job with the school district as do I so we still get great health insurance and an life insurance policy from them already. Idk what to do at this point. Need some feedback on the company & your experience, if the payment is worth it. Thanks
