American Income Life help
So I realized I have been roped into paying a overpriced policy after doing some research online about life insurance. A year ago, I(28yr male, married w/baby on the way) started a policy with this company paying $145 for myself and a separate charge of $42 to add my spouse to my plan. I realize now that paying almost $200 in life insurance is unreasonable, and I am an idiot for being talked into it. A couple of months ago, I had to request a new debit card from my bank as there were suspicious activity and I wanted to cancel the one I had immediately. Now I(29yr male, married, one child) realize I cannot being making these payments anymore, and my income needs to go into taking care of my child right now. I feel like since I requested a new card, my info must be incorrect on their end, I’m not exactly sure if this is true. An agent has contacted me through text, and it is the same agent that has drawn this policy I believe. The text says something along the line of the company has waived all my missed premiums and are willing to restart my policy fresh. I just have to call them back. Now my questions are: -Should I just ignore them and let my policy lapse? I really don’t want to be swayed into another policy. I’m a timid person and like to avoid conflict as much as possible, but if the only option is to speak to an agent and formally cancel, I will have to gather myself and do it. -Am I sure they don’t have my banking info because of the newly requested card? I know now that I can request a direct bill, so they can stop automatically withdraw from my account.
Any help will be greatly appreciated as I do think I will have to reply eventually to them.
