Toyota seems to be finally getting around to redesigning some of the oldest vehicles in its lineup. From the new Tacoma to the Land Cruiser and 4Runner, Toyota is on an off-road bonza. The buzz surrounding these new vehicles may have led some to forget about the Tundra. We haven’t driven one since this current generation debuted for the 2022 model year. So Toyota is sending me one. Before it gets here though I want to know what you want to know about it.

Being that the Tundra is a pickup, its lineup is pretty diverse. You can get double or crew cabs with “5.5 of “6.5 bed lengths across eight trim levels with pricing spanning from just under $40,000 to just over $80,000. No matter what Tundra you choose though, Toyota gave Tundra buyers one engine choice in a 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 with a 10-speed automatic. Base Tundras get 358 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. Or you can have 389 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque.

With the Tundra TRD Pro, you won’t get either of those power ratings. The TRD Pro can only be had with the i-FORCE MAX hybrid version of the twin-turbo V6. That means 437 hp and 583 lb-ft of V8-like torque. Gotta love modern engine technology. None of this is cheap of course.; the Tundra TRD Pro starts at $73,625, in addition to all the usual luxury and tech features like a massive panoramic roof, 14-inch touchscreen display and 12-speaker JBL audio. If you want a Tundra that can tackle a trail though, the Tundra TRD Pro is where it’s at.

There’s an off-road suspension with a 1.1-inch front lift with FOX shocks, an electronically locking rear diff, multi-terrain select system with mud, sand, rock and and a mogul mode that I’m really curious about. There’s even crawl control. Suffice to say, this isn’t just some appearance package.

Now I want to know what you guys want to know about it? Given that outdoorsy, off-road trims are the big industry trend right now, you guys gotta be curious about how this thing actually performs on a day to day basis. Or how well it handles kids or cargo in its bed. Or how much air it can get in sand dunes. Just kidding — or am I? Anyway, let us know what you want to know about it in the comments.
