What Car From 1999 Would You Keep As A Classic?

Another year around the sun and another model year of cars opens up to the possibility of snagging that classic car registration, with a neat vintage plate.

I Want To Go Electric | What Car Should You Buy?

Twenty five years is a special number for auto enthusiasts. Not only does it mark when cars from overseas are available for import, but two decades and a half also serves as a marker for what car can, in some states be registered as a classic car or similar.

I picked the original Audi Allroad, which actually debuted in 1999. I just love a German adventure wagon, despite the car being known for having the reliability of prophylactics on prom night. That’s part of the point of having an old car, after all, the hours spent in the garage keeping something glorious and strange running just long enough to get to the nearest Cars And Coffee. The OG Allroad came with all the luxury of the A6 Avant executive car it was based on, but toughened up a bit for some very light offroading.

It’s a Jack of all trades, but a master of none, but it looks good while doing those trades half-assed, so who cares? What about you? What car from the year of Y2K are you keeping classy for future car meets?
