Watch This Video About The 1966 Lincoln Continental Coupe I Never Knew Existed

As a convertible lover, the fourth-generation Lincoln Continental holds a special place in my heart as an iconic and rare four-door droptop, but I never knew it also was offered as a traditional two-door hardtop coupe as well. America had an infatuation with oversized two-door cars that maximized exterior footprint while providing occupants with average interior space. This video details the Continental’s storied early lineage as the Ford Motor Company’s flagship vehicle, and how the third-generation Continental reinvigorated the Continental name.

Prior to stumbling across this video, I didn’t know that the 1966 Continental was offered in a two-door coupe configuration, and it doesn’t look all that different from the four-door models. (I honestly just saw the part of the video where the presenter makes that same comparison after I wrote the previous sentence, so I’m glad it’s not just me who sees that.)

The Lincoln Continental is a true icon of 1960s American design, and I will now be scouring the streets for a two-door hardtop fourth-generation Continental. Watch this video to learn everything you could ever want to know about the 1966 Lincoln Continental two-door coupe.
