The 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE follows the EQS as the brand’s second all-electric model that’s part of the new EQ family of EVs. As its name implies, the EQE is the battery-powered doppelganger to the mainstay E-class sedan.

The Mercedes-Benz EQE shares many of its exterior design elements with the larger EQS.
Like the EQS, the EQE features a gloss-black grille panel and an oversized three-pointed star, but there is no light-bar element across the top of the grille.
Compared to the EQS, the EQE is nine inches shorter overall but sits astride a wheelbase that’s just 3.5 inches trimmer.
Like the larger EQS, the EQE’s “one-bow” roofline traces an arc from just behind the front wheels to nearly the trailing edge of the car’s tail.
Whereas the EQS has a rear hatch, the EQE has a conventional trunk lid.
We drove the EQE 350+, which will be the entry-level model in the U.S. market. An EQE 500 4Matic will also be offered.
The EQE 350+ has a single motor that makes 288 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels.
The standard interior setup features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch central touchscreen display. The 56.0-inch Hyperscreen from the EQS is also available.
The sedan’s arched roofline somewhat constricts the view out.
The 2023 EQE 350+ is set to arrive in U.S. showrooms mid-2022.
