More than a showpiece, the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX is a long-range electric concept car that doubles as a rolling development platform for a range of advanced future technologies. Proven in the real world, its slippery shape and ultra-efficient powertrain let it go more than 700 miles on a charge.

The Vision EQXX is a surprisingly well-integrated concept car, especially considering it was developed in just 18 months.
More than just a show car, the EQXX showed its capability on two long-distance treks across Europe, the longest of which saw it travel 747 miles on a single charge of its roughly 100.0-kWh battery.
Mercedes’s new radial-flux motor, which produces 241 horsepower, drives the EQXX’s rear wheels.
The EQXX slips through the air with a drag coefficient of just 0.17.
At roughly 3900 pounds, the EQXX is impressively light for an EV.
Developed by Mercedes’s Formula 1 engineers, the EQXX’s lithium-ion battery is some 50 percent smaller and 30 percent lighter than a similarly powerful pack in the EQS production sedan.
Performance is a relative term in the EQXX, what with its casual 7.0-second 60-mph time and electronically limited top speed of 87 mph.
Because it is so light and responsive to regenerative braking, the EQXX can get away with ultralightweight aluminum brake rotors.
The EQXX’s interior is show car worthy yet surprisingly functional. Environmentally friendly highlights include trim panels derived from cacti, mushroom-based seat inserts, and bamboo-fiber shag-carpet floor mats.
Dominating the EQXX’s driving experience is a broad 47.5-inch touchscreen that is rendered in brilliant 8K resolution by a video-game engine.
