The 2022 Honda Civic offers a Sport trim level for both the sedan and the hatchback.
The Sport model comes with a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter inline-four that produces 158 horsepower.
While the Sport sedan comes only with a continuously variable automatic transmission, the Sport hatch offers a manual.
The Sport also comes with visual upgrades that include 18-inch wheels and black trim.
The Civic’s EX and Touring trim levels offer a more powerful turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-four with 180 horsepower.
Our test of the base engine revealed a slow 60-mph time of 8.8 seconds.
The Civic Sport starts at $24,765 for the sedan body style.
Our test car also had a $1418 HPD package that added a body kit, a spoiler, and a badge.
We like the Civic Sport’s interior, which has cloth upholstery rather than the Touring model’s leather.
The Sport also makes do with a smaller touchscreen, with the central display measuring 7.0 inches versus the Touring’s 9.0-inch screen.
