The two-seat, mid-engine 296GTB is the first Ferrari-badged V-6 road car.
The engine displaces 3.0 liters and features a wide, 120-degree cylinder angle.
Within the engine’s V are two turbochargers, one for each cylinder bank.
The engine on its own makes 654 horsepower. Add the electric motor, and the total is 819 horsepower.
The 6.0-kWh battery pack should provide 10 miles of EV-only range.
All the powertrain’s torque is sent to the rear wheels.
Besides hybrid assist, the 296GTB also features electric power steering and electrically boosted brakes.
The 296GTB interior seats two.
As per current Ferrari practice, the steering wheel is chock full of switchgear, including the eManettino drive-mode selector.
The 296GTB starts at $322,986, which makes it some $200,000 less expensive than Ferrari’s other hybrid, the SF90 Stradale.
