Philadelphia’s NBC 10 reports that the accident happened in the Kingston neighborhood of Philadelphia around 11 AM local time. Authorities and investigators say a silver Dodge Caravan was traveling southbound on Jasper Street when it hit a dark-colored Acura sedan.

The force of the impact caused the Caravan to flip onto its side before it came to a stop against a trailer and some fences. The Acura came to a stop on another sidewalk. Paramedics arrived, but the passengers in the van — an unidentified man and woman — were pronounced dead at the scene. The passengers in the Acura, a woman and two kids who had been in the backseat, were taken to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries. Authorities say they’re in stable condition.

The story is currently developing as authorities piece together more information.
