Tesla's Sold-Out $700 Stainless Steel Cooler Takes Up The Cybertruck’s Entire Frunk
Do you own a Tesla Cybertruck, have a spare $700 and are struggling to find something to do with the truck’s finger-eating frunk? Well, I’ve got good news for you, because the Austin, Texas–based automaker just unleashed the “Cybertruck Cooler” on the world. It’s exactly what you think it is: a cooler meant to fit in the frunk of your Cybertruck. How exciting.
Tesla Had A Very Interesting Week
On the face of it, this is sort of a neat idea, but there are a few major issues with it. First of all, other automakers that build EVs with frunks, like Ford and Rivian, have made their vehicle’s front trunks work like a cooler right out of the box. They even have drain plugs, so you can throw ice in there and it’ll melt right out of the bottom. Tesla’s solution is, like many current Tesla products, not nearly as well thought out.

The cooler itself is made out of stainless steel cladding — because it wouldn’t be a Cybertruck accessory without it — and “high-quality” insulation. I’m sure it is. The 38-inch-by-16-inch-by-12.5-inch cooler weighs a rather heavy 31 pounds, according to Tesla, and it has a 56-quart capacity and can hold up to 90 canned beverages. Tesla is really assuming a Cybertruck owner has enough friends to share 90 cans of beer. High hopes, guys.
Anyway, here’s how Tesla describes its $700 stainless steel beast:
Keep your food and drinks cold on the road, at your campsite or away from home with the Cybertruck cooler. Inspired by the durable, angular design of cybertruck, this cooler is designed to fit perfectly in the front trunk of your Cybertruck. Made with premium stainless-steel cladding and high-quality insulation to keep perishables cold and ice frozen for days at a time.
If you’ve read all of this and somehow decided the Cybertruck Cooler is still for you, I’ve got some bad news. It’s sold out. That’s right. So many people decided this was what they needed in their lives that they threw all that money at Elon Musk. Regardless of whether or not it’s available, you’ve also got to be a Tesla owner to buy one. Wild, right?
Anyway, Tesla has plenty of other Cybertruck products and accessories to hold you over, like the Tailgate Shield ($300), Jumpseat ($100), 128 GB USB Drive ($45), Cybertent ($2,975), Cyberramp ($400), Vault Cargo Bins ($225) and the Vault Cargo Divider that doesn’t fit. What a company.
