Tesla Cybertruck Ice Cream Truck Vandalized By Ohio Woman
As it turns out, the Tesla Cybertruck isn’t completely useless. It can, apparently, be used as an ice cream truck that attracts bizarre vandals with questionable motives. At least that’s what happened to a Cybertruck owned by a man in Bellbrook, Ohio. A random woman vandalized his 2024 Cybertruck, and thus his ice cream business, WHIO TV 7 reports.
Tesla’s Cybertruck Has Finally Arrived
Daniel Herres was at home when he heard what sounded like glass being smashed, and his Ring camera captured it, as well. So much for the shatter-resistant glass Tesla has talked about. The woman reportedlypulled into the Herres’s driveway, where his Cybertruck with a huge “Cyber Cream Daytona” decal on the side was sitting. She got out of her Dodge Journey and began smashing all but one of the truck’s windows. When she finished, she got back into her car and drove away.
To make matters even worse, there were two kids in the back seat of the car crying, according to Herres. Police found and arrested her a few minutes later, identifying her as a 29-year-old woman from Indiana.
Here’s more on what Herres about the bizarre situation, from WHIO TV 7:
Herres said the damage to his cybertruck will force him to shut down the ice cream truck business for the rest of the summer. He said he started the business in May.
“Within 30 seconds, our business was torpedoed,” he said.
Herres said he had never seen the woman before Monday.
“I feel really sorry for the children, and we just really wish the best for everyone, we want everyone to come out OK with this,” he said.
Before she was arrested, the woman reportedly went to a neighbor’s house on the same street as Herres and knocked over two propane tanks. The neighbor told police the woman screamed at him before speeding down the road. Police gave her a citation to appear in court on a misdemeanor criminal damaging charge.
