Sovereign Citizen Demands To Speak To Supervisor, And You Can Probably Guess How That Ends

It’s a tale as old as time. A sovereign citizen decides the rules don’t apply to them, gets in trouble, makes an ass out of themselves and gets arrested. And yet, watching them talk their way into getting arrested continues to be enjoyable no matter how many of these videos you’ve seen. This time around, things are no different, although his Audi S5 does look pretty good.

The video, of course, starts with a completely preventable encounter. The esteemed sovereign citizen in question was apparently visiting a park and failed to pay when he entered and began illegally flying a drone. A park ranger then confronts him about those issues, as well as his lack of a valid license plate. He responds that it’s a private vehicle, refuses to hand over his registration when asked and then demands to speak to their supervisor.

You can probably guess where this whole thing is going, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t still great entertainment. He starts arguing over the difference between a crime and an infraction and explains that “in [his] law,” another person has to be harmed for that to count as a crime, claims he doesn’t live in the “state of” California but does live in California, and then insists he doesn’t know what a sovereign citizen is, calling the term an oxymoron. And that’s all within the first three minutes of the encounter.

Things only get dumber from there. Among other nonsense arguments, he insists that laws only apply to “public servants,” which might be the dumbest thing anyone has ever said, but we’re talking about sovereign citizens here, so there’s a good chance someone out there has said something dumber. And wouldn’t you know it, when the supervisor arrives, things don’t get any better. In fact, he somehow manages to talk himself into getting arrested. Shocking!

The recording of the entire encounter is more than 20 minutes long, so it’s not a particularly quick watch, but if you enjoy watching sovereign citizens make fools out of themselves, you’re going to want to kick back and give this one a watch. Happy Friday, y’all.
