‘Something Very Fishy’ About Their Illegally Parked Cars Getting Towed, Says Trump Supporters

Trump supporters learned the hard way that the manager isn’t always right after their cars were towed from a Dunkin’ Donut’s parking lot during this week’s Trump rally in Charlotte, North Carolina.

‘Twister’ Remains The Greatest Car Commercial Of All Time

Parking was at a premium at the former president, current felon’s rally on Wednesday. A few people snuck into the lot at a local Dunkin’ Donuts, telling WBTV they cleared it with the manager. Others heard this approval second-hand, and still others said they were told not to park.

While some may have had the word-of-mouth OK from the manager, signs in the parking lot promised parking non-customers a swift removal. The result? Dozens left stranded after tow trucks cleared out rally-goers rides, according to WBTV:

Parking was at a premium after crowds swarmed the coliseum’s parking lots. Drivers claim the manager of the Dunkin’ allowed them to leave their cars in the lot during the rally; however, when asked for comment, they said several people were told they could not park there and that signs on the property indicate no parking for non-customers.

While the drivers were inside the rally, tow trucks showed up and began hooking up vehicles.

“The managers inside promised that they could park here,” Zander DeSoto said. “Some of the people here even gave money to the people inside.”

The thing is, even if the manager on site at the Dunkin’ on the day of the rally said it was OK, the manager of a franchise is very rarely the owner of the franchise or the owner of the property the franchise operates out of. Parking would be squarely in the responsibility of someone else entirely, someone with a business to run. And that’s even if these parkers were given the OK.

Folks who had their cars towed have to pay $380 to get them back from Gotcha Towing. Of course, these being Trump supporters, this entire event is clearly a conspiracy:

“Something very fishy [is] going on here, because I’ve never seen anything like this happen before,” one man said.

Another man said when he went to confront the Dunkin’ manager, the shop’s employees locked the doors and refused to come out.

“The whole parking lot is gone…everybody,” he said. “They locked the doors, they won’t answer our calls, and they won’t even answer at the window.”

Never seen anything like this before? Try illegally parking near a beach on a sunny day or on a side street during a festival. You’ll find yourself without your ride pretty quick or watching the unlucky fuckers-around find out.
