Royle Leung of BrokerTeam Group to Retire End of 2024; Jessica Man Appointed as Incoming CEO
TORONTO, ON, JULY 24, 2024/insPRESS/ – BrokerTeam Group (BTG) announces the early retirement of current CEO Royle Leung at the end of 2024, after over 30 years in the insurance industry. Jessica Man officially takes on the role of CEO starting in January 2025. Jessica is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator with over two decades of experience in accounting, business valuations, financial consulting, acquisitions, due diligence, and infrastructure restructuring for financial services companies, insurance brokerages and technology firms. Royle will remain at BTG to serve as Chairman of the Board.
“We began our succession planning in 2014 as we searched for talent across various industries to enrich the dynamics of BrokerTeam,” says Royle Leung. “Jessica was one of the talents we invited to be part of our future planning, with others currently working closely within the core Group. We are proud to have Jessica lead our next generation.”
Currently CFO and COO, Jessica has been transitioning into the CEO position over the last year, providing BTG’s family of brokerages with operational insights and financial analytics, as well as business strategies. The future of the Group will continue to focus on building and supporting owner-operated brokerages that are structured for the ongoing development of talent and leaders in the industry.

Royle founded BrokerTeam in 2005 with Corey Chan, Andy W. Leung, Andy M. Leung and the late James Hui. Today, the Group is now a team of 600 brokers and staff at 40 locations under 14 independent brokerages across Canada, all running under individual branding banners, operating with different business models and serving their own community of clients.
