Rob McLeod Assumes Presidency of Professional Liability Agents Network
TORONTO, ON, SEPTEMBER 25, 2024/insPRESS/ – Rob McLeod, a seasoned insurance professional at Axis Insurance, has taken the helm as President of the Professional Liability Agents Network (PLAN) effective September 16, 2024. PLAN, established in 1984, is a distinguished network exclusively tailored to insurance agents serving design professionals such as architects and engineers.
Rob brings a wealth of experience to this role, having been an active member of PLAN for over a decade. He currently leads the Professional & Financial Services Team at Axis Insurance, a team comprising 30 dedicated professionals.
A Decade of Growth and Collaboration
Rob’s journey with Axis and PLAN has been deeply intertwined. “We wouldn’t be where we are today if it wasn’t for PLAN,” Rob reflects. “The network has been fundamental to our development of resources and expertise in the A&E industry, with our focus on professional liability risk. It’s allowed us to work at a very high level and better serve our clients.”
PLAN’s Mission
PLAN is renowned for developing comprehensive risk management materials and seeking input from insurers, claims specialists, and legal experts. This collaborative approach helps identify industry trends and keeps member agents abreast of new developments. The annual conference is a cornerstone event where key issues affecting the design industry and risk management sector are explored and addressed.
Rob takes over the position from Nick Maletta of Holmes Murphy, an influential insurance brokerage based in Iowa. Reflecting on his predecessor’s tenure, Rob notes, “Nick set a remarkable standard and paved a strong path forward for PLAN. Under his leadership, we hosted one of our most successful conferences to date.”
Joining Rob in leadership is Kelly Potter, who will serve as Vice President. Kelly is a respected professional at Cavignac, an insurance brokerage based in California. Together, they aim to build on the solid foundation laid by previous leaders and steer PLAN toward new heights.
A Personal Milestone
Assuming the presidency of PLAN is a significant milestone in Rob’s career. “It’s an honor to lead a group that has been instrumental in my professional growth,” he shares. “PLAN has not only helped me develop as a broker but has also enabled Axis to better serve our clients through shared knowledge and resources.”
