Quincy Mutual Announces New Changes To Senior Management

Quincy Mutual Group is pleased to announce two recent changes in Senior Management, the promotion of Brian Hayes and the appointment of Shannon Harjer.

“We are very excited to have Shannon on the team and to have Brian in his new role,” said Doug Briggs, Chief Executive Officer of Quincy Mutual Group. “I know that we will continue to see significant accomplishments from both leaders in their respective areas of the company.”

Brian Hayes

Brian Hayes has been promoted to Senior Vice President & Chief Underwriting Officer.  In this new role, Brian will lead the Quincy Mutual underwriting organization for both Commercial Lines and Personal Lines.

Brian has been a Vice President with Quincy Mutual for 10 years leading the Commercial Lines business.  Prior to joining Quincy Mutual, he was with The Hartford, most recently in the position of VP of Small Commercial Underwriting Practices. Brian will continue to ensure that Quincy Mutual maintains a high level of risk selection and excellent customer service, along with driving the continued expansion of data analytics and process improvement throughout the business. 

Shannon Harjer

Shannon Harjer has been appointed as Vice President of Claims for Quincy Mutual Group. She joins Quincy Mutual after serving the Company as a Claims Consultant.

Prior to joining Quincy Mutual, Shannon’s career spanned 26 years with State Farm Insurance and Nationwide Insurance. Progressive expertise in claims innovation, change management, and executive leadership afforded Shannon the opportunity to serve in many capacities as a senior and executive leader throughout the past 11 years. Her vision for claims adjudication was highlighted in the 2022 Annual Report, aligning Quincy Mutual core values with the services the claims department provides to agents and customers.
