Nebraska DMV Expands Customer Experience Pilot

LINCOLN – Customers visiting Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) offices may notice a new addition to the lobby, with the deployment of customer service terminals. The terminals are designed to allow a customer to provide feedback on the service they have just received. The terminals were piloted in five Omaha and Lincoln offices over the past year, with over 18,000 customers participating. Following the successful pilot period, the terminals will now be deployed in seven additional DMV offices across the state.

Announcing the expansion, Rhonda Lahm, Director of the Department of Motor Vehicles said, “We are excited to expand the use of customer service terminals to make it more convenient for customers to review their experience. We are always seeking innovative ways to improve the quality of the service we provide, and these terminals give customers a fast, anonymous, and efficient way of letting us know how we are doing.”

Results from the pilot program showed that 94% of feedback from customers was positive over the past year. The terminals will be located in Gering, North Platte, Grand Island, Kearney, Hastings, Lexington, both Lincoln locations, and all offices in the Omaha metro area.

Customers wishing to provide additional feedback can find contact details at dmv.nebraska.gov.
