Meet OSBIE‘s Vice President, Finance and Administration

GUELPH, ON, JULY 4, 2024/insPRESS/ – Jeff Pratt, Chief Executive Officer of OSBIE (Ontario School Boards’ Insurance Exchange) welcomes Vivienne Penfound, CPA, as OSBIE’s new Vice President of Finance and Administration, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer.

“OSBIE is pleased to have Vivienne join our leadership team,” says Jeff. “Her proven experience brings OSBIE financial acuity in a diversity of areas, including reinsurance and investments.”

Vivienne has over 11 years of commercial insurance experience with the Gore Mutual Insurance Company, one of Canada’s first property and casualty insurers. Most recently her role was Director, Finance Strategy & Transformation. Throughout her tenure at Gore, she has held increasingly responsible positions.

Says Vivienne, “With the launch of OSBIE’s Strategic Plan, it’s an exciting time to join the team. OSBIE’s focus on risk management best practices is what drives the financial results. A strong partnership with Boards affords us the potential to refund Members so they can redeploy the funds for educational pursuits. That really resonated with me.”

A graduate of Western University, Vivienne also holds a Canadian Professional Accounting (CPA) designation and is an active member of the Canadian Insurance Accounting Association (CIAA).
