Logiciels Deltek Inc. Becomes the First BMS Vendor to Earn CSIO’s eDocs Certification

TORONTO, ON, JULY 25, 2024/insPRESS/ – CSIO congratulates Logiciels Deltek Inc. (Deltek) on being the first Broker Management System (BMS) vendor to earn CSIO’s eDocs Certification, confirming they have implemented all 40 updated eDocs codes and descriptions for personal and commercial lines.

With this Certification, insurers working with Deltek can be confident when sending updated eDocs codes and descriptions that the accurate code and description will be presented in the BMS. Insurers are working to deploy the updated eDocs codes and descriptions into production and Deltek will support previously used eDocs during this transition period. Brokers will start seeing the updated eDocs in their BMS once their insurer partners have completed deployment.

As insurers and BMS vendors program and prepare to move the updated eDocs into production, CSIO’s eDocs Implementation Steering Committee is working to ensure successful industry implementation. Deltek is a valuable Committee member, collaborating with industry peers and providing feedback on programming and testing. “Deltek is pleased to achieve eDocs Standards Certification,” said David Larkin, President of Logiciels Deltek Inc. “This Certification demonstrates our commitment to supporting this industry initiative that will remove administration tasks from brokers and provide clearly defined labelling of eDocs.”

“I commend Deltek for being the first vendor to attain CSIO’s eDocs Certification,” said Catherine Smola, President & CEO of CSIO. “This is a major achievement in enhancing broker connectivity, as brokers will be able to recognize the nature of the eDoc in their BMS without needing to open the file.”

CSIO worked with the industry to update the eDocs codes and descriptions to ensure clear labelling in a BMS, saving brokers time and money and of those brokers who completed CSIO’s eDocs survey, 81% expect to save up to a minimum of 1 hour per day upon receiving the updated eDocs descriptions.
