It’s a big day. Taylor Swift just released her heartbreaking new album and surprised fans by making it a whopping double release with 31 songs and more than two-hours of new music. Have you listened yet? If so, have you spotted the subtle Aston Martin reference that some fans think is a nod to Formula 1 racer Fernando Alonso?

The reference comes on “imgonnagetyouback” taken from Swift’s new release, “The Tortured Poets Department.” In it, many assume the American singer is coming to terms with an ended relationship, discussing the ways she’ll cope with heartbreak either by smashing up their bike or finding a way to win them back.

Fans of Swift and Formula 1 have, however, spotted an intriguing line in the song, in which the ‘New Romantics’ singer says “I’m an Aston Martin that you steered straight into the ditch then ran and hid.”

That could just be a metaphor for someone ruining something great that they once held dear, or it could be a subtle nod to Aston Martin Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso.

Last year, the rumor mill ran wild at the possibility of a secret new romance between Swift and Alonso. Nobody managed to confirm if it was true or just a tall tale, but the “Delicate” singer remained silent on the issue and the double-F1 champ dropped all kinds of silly hints and references across social media.

The relationship was never confirmed as being true or false, and shortly after the rumors began swirling Swift found herself a new boo. But but does this Aston Martin lyric mean something could have happened between the pair? Or, rather more likely, is it just a continuation of Swift’s history singing about various cars on her albums.

We may never know for sure, but if you want to hedge your guesses give the new track a listen and meet us for some clowning in the comments below. It’s all got to mean something, right?
