In Memoriam Craig A Thompson 1956 2023

He is survived by his wife, Lauri Byer; twin brother, Bruce Thompson and his wife, Maureen Thompson; sister, Sue Rego and her husband, Peter Rego; children, Alex and Abby Thompson and her fiancé, Justin Ogilvie. He is also survived by niece and nephews, Brian, Connor, and Kathryn; stepdaughter, Lauryn and her husband, Darren Leverenz; their daughters, Riley and Harlow; and stepson, Tyler and partner, Fran.

After graduating from Hingham High School in 1975 and Curry College in 1979, he worked in the insurance industry for 40-plus years, committing himself to providing exceptional service and care to a wide client base. Craig was an active parishioner at the United Church of Christ in Norwell, MA, participating in the outreach committee and volunteering for community service efforts. Craig loved his two labradoodles Jackson and Theo; building his substantial and eclectic music library, traveling the world with his beloved wife, traversing the U.S. with his children, and constantly learning new things.

He participated in the 2012 PanMass Challenge fundraiser and regularly rode his trusty bicycle 100+ miles on Sunday afternoons. An adventurer at heart, Craig loved hiking, scuba, flying single engine planes, snowshoeing, skiing, and skydiving. However, he liked few things more than Lauri’s salmon, a strong cup of black coffee, and afternoons on his deck, overlooking Lawson Common in his dream home. Funeral Services will be private.
