Hyundai Will Actually Build The Retrofuturistic N Vision 74 Concept

Hyundai surprised us all two years ago when it revealed the N Vision 74. The retrofuturistic coupe was gorgeous, and we wanted it put into production as soon as humanly possible. It was just a concept, of course, but we wanted it to be a real car that you could actually buy. Then we heard rumors it actually would go into production. Then Hyundai squashed those rumors. Then we heard it would be built in small numbers. Now, though, it appears that Hyundai has officially confirmed plans to build the N Vision 74.
What Do You Want To Know About Hyundai’s 2024 Santa Fe?
Motor1 reports that the news was first seen as part of Hyundai’s annual CEO and Investor Day presentation on a slide highlighting the Korean automaker’s plans to introduce 21 new models by 2030. In the section titled “High-performance EV,” you can clearly see “Hyundai N (vision 74)“ listed along with “Genesis Magma.” So unless Hyundai is trolling us, it’s time to start saving to get your hands on that sweet production N Vision 74.
Unfortunately for us, production details are still scarce. There’s no telling when it will arrive, how much it will cost or how much power it will make. Odds are, it’ll still look mostly the same, but some things are going to have to be changed for production. We also have no idea if it will still be a hydrogen hybrid or if Hyundai will dump the hydrogen setup in favor of an all-electric one that will be simpler to refuel.
If the previous rumor is true, and it very easily could not be, then the N Vision 74 is going to be incredibly rare — allegedly Hyundai will only build 70 for the entire world, as well as 30 race cars. While it’s understandable that Hyundai would want to avoid too much risk when it introduces what would essentially be a halo car, it would also be incredibly disappointing for the N Vision 74. The people love the car, Hyundai. Let the people buy the car!
