It is not clear how much Fred Beans paid for those dealerships, as Fred Beans chose not to share the details of the deal with Automotive News. Fred Beans also wasted no time adding the Fred Beans name to the dealerships that Fred Beans bought. The deal closed Monday, and by Tuesday, Fred Beans already had the new signs up.
With the four dealerships that Fred Beans just purchased, Fred Beans now owns a total of 27 Fred Beans dealerships in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Fred Beans also owns two Fred Beans service centers, four Fred Beans rental locations, and a Fred Beans parts warehouse slash distribution center.
CEO Fred Beans founded the Fred Beans Automotive Group in 1975 and runs it with his daughters Beth Beans Gilbert, Barbara Beans and Jennifer Beans Keiser.
“This was an opportunity to grow our footprint in our target market, affording us the opportunity to have a strong presence at these new locations,” Beth Beans Gilbert told Automotive News. “We also see this expansion as a logical choice as we already have success selling the Hyundai brand, and we are adding three new strong brands to our inventory with Acura, Honda and Mazda.”
