The Chevrolet Corvette may have never been as fancy as a Ferrari, but America’s sports car has been kicking ass and taking names for generations. But why should the Corvette be confined to only driving on paved roads? Why not throw some big, chunky all-terrain tires and a new suspension on there so you can hang the tail out and let that V8 sing while kicking up dust on a fire road? If Porsche and Lamborghini can do the same thing with the 911 and Huracan, why not Chevrolet?

Thankfully, one creative Facebook Marketplace seller built an off-road Corvette of their own and is willing to part with it for a mere $23,000. That’s a lot to pay for somebody else’s project, but at the same time, it isn’t excessive for a 2013 Corvette with just under $50,000 miles. And most importantly, it’s got a manual transmission. It’s hard to imagine you’d be able to do any serious off-roading in this car since it’s still rear-wheel drive, but at the same time, who cares? That just means you can hang the tail out more easily on a fire road or in the desert.

Chevrolet would probably prefer if the owner hadn’t put Trail Boss decals on the Corvette, but they’re there, and we can’t imagine anyone at GM plans to sue unlike if they had done this to, say, a Ferrari. And let’s be honest, this thing just looks fun as hell. Also, who doesn’t want to run into an off-road Corvette on a trail? That would kick ass.

According to the listing, it was previously sold to a YouTuber, and a quick search turns up the video below where you can see that this thing is actually more capable than you might expect. It’s obviously no Jeep Wrangler, but look at that thing go!
