Automakers always seem to be trying to “go green” and “hug trees,” but not many of them have what it takes to truly make their vehicles one with nature. It seems one teenager in Michigan decided to matters into his own hands – sort of.

You see, a drunk 18-year-old pulled into a gas station in Lansing, Michigan and passed out. That’s all sort of normal Michigan behavior. What was a bit out of the ordinary was the fact there was a goddamn tree lodged in the passenger side of the front end of the truck. That’s where the tree-hugging of it all comes in.

Shortly after he pulled into the gas station, an eyewitness called the police to let them know about a truck at a gas station with a large tree stuck to the outside and a man passed out on the inside around 6 a.m., according to a statement from the Ingham County Sheriff’s Department on Facebook. Before that, police believe he hit the tree sometime after midnight that same day. The dude had one busy night, that’s for sure.

Right now, it’s not clear where the teenager ran into the tree, how long he drove with his truck like that or if anyone else was injured.

Police say the unidentified 18-year-old from Springport, Michigan was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was also taken to the hospital for treatment.
