DOI Warns All Appointments Will Be Terminated Automatically After the Deadline

The Massachusetts Division of Insurance posted the following information for insurance carriers during business in the commonwealth. It has been reprinted here below verbatim:

Massachusetts Division of Insurance official seal with the seal of Massachusetts surrounded by the words

Thank you to those companies who have recently renewed their Massachusetts individual and business entity appointments via NIPR.  This is a reminder that if a company has not renewed its Massachusetts appointments during the ongoing appointment renewal cycle, the Massachusetts Division of Insurance is allowing companies until Friday, October 14th at 5 p.m. EST to renew these appointments and pay the related fees via NIPR.  All appointments will automatically be terminated if not renewed by that deadline.  This is a one-time extension being allowed only for the first such appointment renewal cycle following the Division’s March 2022 transition to SBS, but there will be no such extensions in 2023 or in subsequent years.  Please contact NIPR Support at support@nipr.com with any questions or concerns.
