DMV Team Member Recognized With International Award

 

Omaha – Sid Yardley, Motor Vehicle Fraud Investigator, was awarded the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrator’s (AAMVA) International Award for Fraud Detection and Prevention at the AAMVA Annual International Conference. The conference closed Thursday, August 22nd, and brought together law enforcement and motor vehicle administrators from all over north America and beyond.

 

“We are very proud of Sid and pleased that his hard work has been recognized,” said Rhonda Lahm, Director of the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles. “Sid uses his expertise to continue the fight to tackle fraud and identity theft.”

 

Sid has been working as an investigator with Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles for 9 years, following a career spanning 35 years in the Lincoln Police Department. The award was accepted on Sid’s behalf by his daughters.

 

“The Fraud Unit performs important investigative work relating to vehicle title and registration fraud, driver license fraud, and odometer fraud,” said Betty Johnson, Administrator of the Driver and Vehicle Records Division. “We are very pleased Sid has been recognized for his dedication and presented with this very well deserved award.”
