Detroit Cops Roast Driver's 'Weak-Ass Rebuilt Title' Over PA System

Ah Detroit. My hometown is often the scene of automotive shenanigans and hi-jinx, to the point where even Detroit Police Department officers are rolling their eyes at car crimes happening right in front of them.

First posted by the news site the Metro Detroit News the video shows Detroit police engaging in some of their world famous policing. Captured on the east side of the city at Van Dyke Street and East McNichols, the video captured a Dodge Challenger doing donuts in the intersection, but not before DPD could get their very NSFW two cents in:

“Fuck you too!” the cops can be heard saying over the PA system before the red Challenger ripped a few donuts in the middle of the intersection. After the troublemaker cleared the intersection, the police landed one more parting blow.

“Weak-ass rebuilt title! Weak-ass rebuilt title!” the officer was heard saying over the PA as the Challenger sped east down McNichols, as if to alert all of the drivers this car, and its driver, were actually wack and not dope in the slightest. It’s the kind of public service announcement we both need and deserve. Who knows, maybe shaming sideshow drivers is the only thing that works to keep them off the streets. Though regardless of its title status, the Challenger can still produce a fair amount of tire smoke.

The police don’t seem to mind the donuts much (nor would they, hey-o!.) They add their commentary from the peanut gallery without any lights or sirens, leaving the weak-ass rebuilt title of a Challenger to leave clouds of “no, no, fuck you!” in the faces of the cops and everyone waiting at the light. Annoying to anyone who has, I’m just spit-balling here, received a speeding ticket for going 5 over on an empty Woodward Avenue at 3 a.m.

On a side note, I first saw this video via Detroit comedian Tiffany Barber (@Iamtbarb.) She pulls videos from all over the city for her Only In Detroit pieces, which will crack up locals and lookie-loos alike. She always kicks off her commentary with a hearty “what up doe!” which is Detroit for, hello, good morning, how are you?

If you’ve ever wanted to experience the madness of Detroit’s streets, look no further than this funny lady:

Usually, Detroit police are involved in less funny affairs, like when two DPD officers attempted to cover up their role in a fatal crash or orchestrate a wildly complex stolen car scheme. The guy in the Challenger should be wary as well; one undercover cop shot the passenger of a car doing donuts after he was struck. You never know what is going to happen on those mean streets. Stay safe out there.
