FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

June 11, 2019

Delay to Opening of North Omaha Office

LINCOLN – Due to delays with a contractor, the new north Omaha Driver Licensing Office located at 4606 N 56th St Suite 100 will not open tomorrow as originally scheduled. Despite significant effort and planning to open the office, CenturyLink, the contractor tasked with ensuring the office had appropriate connectivity, failed to deliver services as required.

As no advance warning was given to the department by CenturyLink, the existing Florence location was closed last Thursday to begin the relocation of equipment to the new location. An announcement on when the new location will open will be made in the near future.

The Department apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused our customers and we have dedicated all available resources to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. In the meantime, customers may access any of the other three locations in the Omaha metro area. Online appointment services for Lincoln and Omaha offices, along with a range of other services, may be found at dmv.nebraska.gov.
