Chris Van Kooten joining Gore as new Chief Underwriting Officer

Join us in welcoming Chris Van Kooten to Gore Mutual. Chris will assume the role of Chief Underwriting Officer, effective October 21.

TORONTO, ON, OCTOBER 7, 2024/insPRESS/ – We are thrilled to announce that Chris Van Kooten will join Gore Mutual as Chief Underwriting Officer, effective October 21.

Chris brings over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, having most recently served as the President and CEO of Allianz Global Assistance Canada. Before that, he held senior leadership positions at Economical Insurance and Guy Carpenter. Chris is known for his expertise as a respected underwriting leader with a proven track record of success in the P&C industry.

His addition to Gore’s executive committee will further strengthen the foundation built during these past years. We are confident that his experience will elevate our underwriting capabilities and enhance the value we provide to our broker partners and customers as we move forward on our Next Horizon journey.
