CFC hires Coalition cyber leader

Kelly McGuinness

Specialist managing general agent CFC announced it has hired Kelly McGuinness as cyber, tech and professional liability development leader to its new Canada office.

McGuinness previously worked for cyber insurer Coalition, where she was the Canada team lead of production underwriting and business development.

“Her technical knowledge, relationships and professionalism are second to none and she will be a huge asset to our business as we seek to deepen our partnerships with brokers across the country,” said Kate Della Mora, who was recently named CEO of CFC Canada, which coincides with the launch of the carrier’s new local office.

McGuinness has over a decade of industry experience, with a specialization in cyber and tech. She’s also previously held positions at Markel Canada and CNA Insurance.

She is the first hire announced by Della Mora for the company’s Canadian operation.

“I couldn’t ask for a better first appointment and look forward to working alongside Kelly as we continue the amazing growth trajectory of CFC in Canada,” said Della Mora.
