AMC Insurance Services Ltd., based in Surry, B.C., announced it has acquired Western Associated Insurance Brokers Ltd.

Acquisition of the Vancouver-based brokerage brings “a strong clientele and deep-rooted community connections” into the AMC fold, the firm says in a press release.

Western Associated Insurance Brokers is a family owned and operated brokerage with more than twenty years in business. The small boutique brokerage’s website says it offers expertise in all areas of personal and commercial insurance, marine and travel.

As part of the transition, former Western Associated Insurance Brokers owner, Brad McNeill, retired effective September 3rd. The rest of the team will be integrated into AMC.

The deal, AMC says, is part of its commitment to “fostering growth both organically and through strategic acquisitions across Canada.”

Headquartered in Surry, B.C., AMC has ten locations across the province, according to its website.
