This marks the 14th consecutive year that Arbella has been honored in the extra-large business category.
“Our employees are the backbone of this great company, and we’re honored that for the 14th year in a row they’ve helped us gain this prestigious recognition,” said Ellen Mann, assistant vice president of human resources at the Arbella Insurance Group. “We are so lucky to have such a dedicated team that works so hard each and every day to deliver excellent service to our partners and customers. Arbella constantly looks for new ways to support employees professionally, collaboratively and personally, and we are excited to continue to build an environment in which they can thrive.”
Based in Quincy, Mass., the Arbella Insurance Group is an A rated company by AM Best that employs more than 900 workers in the state of Massachusetts and is affiliated with a network of approximately 500 independent insurance agents across New England. Arbella is deeply committed to providing employees with both professional and personal support.
Additionally, Arbella strives to foster a hardworking, collaborative and charitable culture beyond the office. Through the Arbella Insurance Foundation, the company and its employees support a wide variety of nonprofit organizations, from hunger relief to educational initiatives. The Boston Business Journal’s annual “Best Places to Work” program recognizes 80 extra small, small, medium, large and extra-large sized businesses across Boston and the Greater Boston area, who share their abilities and resources to create appealing workplaces. To select the winners, employees from Massachusetts-based companies participate in an anonymous survey that asks about company benefits, atmosphere, values and loyalty. The results are analyzed by a third-party research firm, and the winners are broken down into five categories based on size.
