Abandoned Cybertruck Tourist Destination Towed Away In The Dead Of Night

Good things can’t last forever, which is why we had to say goodbye to the abandoned Seattle Cybertruck tourist destination. It would appear that the badly damaged Tesla, dubbed the “CyberStuck,” has been towed away from its now-iconic parking spot in the city.

A video was posted to the r/CyberStuck subReddit page with the caption “Midnight dumpster run to the Seattle dump” showing what is very clearly the stranded Cybertruck being towed away by a tow company. The person who took the video caught the truck being dragged down the road by a Lang Towing tow truck. The driver must have read our story yesterday on how to properly tow a Cybertruck without making it catch fire.

Another post was made on the Reddit page with the caption, “It’s gone!” showing the parking space where the Cybertruck once lived now vacant. It’s a damn shame, and I’m not really sure how the city of Seattle will come back from such a massive tourism hit like this one. It’s not exactly clear if the tow truck was hired by the Cybertruck’s owner or the city. We’ll keep an eye out to see if any more information comes up.

It seems like this glorious saga has come to an end, but let’s refresh your memory on exactly what was going on with the Seattle CyberStuck.

Basically, it was left abandoned for days on the side of the road in Seattle, Washington after sustaining some sort of damage to the left rear wheel and fender. It’s not totally clear what happened to it, but needless to say, it was left immobilized. Apparently its owner felt the side of the road was the best place to leave it.

One Reddit user actually claims they ran into the truck’s rightful owner on September 8, and the owners weren’t too pleased about what happened to his truck online. Here’s what the user said:

I went by there this evening on my way to dinner. The owner was outside and was not happy we were there. He said a kid hit his CT a few weeks ago and was still trying to figure out the insurance to get it fixed. He said people having been harassing him and his wife the past few days and he didn’t understand why. We told him his truck was all over Reddit and he got even madder. We left pretty quickly.

The commenter added that the Cybertruck’s owner had no idea his truck was posted all over the internet just to be mocked and ridiculed.

After an indeterminate amount of time, officials attempted to notify the owner that the truck would be towed unless it was moved. This warning was placed right next to the Cybertruck’s massive windshield wiper – embarrassing enough by itself.

At one point there was even a Google Maps pin dedicated to the CyberStuck, but that has since been taken down by Google because – well – it’s not real.

Anyway, we’re never going to know without a doubt exactly how this Cybertruck ended up here, but it’s just nice to see the internet coming together for something good: clowning on Elon Musk’s worst creation.
